The Gilded Fan Parlor is run by its founder Z'zhumii Umi, famed former courtesan of Ul'dah and a Sunseeker woman of exquisite taste.
Her purpose in retirement is to bring back the prestige of the courtesan title; With an eye for beauty, a nose for talent, and over twenty years of experience at exercising both, Madame Z'zhumii now trains top-quality courtesans and performers, providing them with opportunities to network with the Eorzean elite.
The Parlor itself is a mansion in the Goblet housing district with business offices located in a small cottage next door. With two different hosting rooms, a small shop, private quarters, and a ballroom, the Gilded Fan is ready to host guests of all tastes.
The Gilded Fan parlor is modeled loosely off of Edo-Japanese and Mughal-Indian courtesan parlors in history, places where the arts flourished and cultural traditions were kept alive in an ever changing world. Our parlor services IC are similar to real-world host bars, where guests hire someone to entertain and chat with them privately while watching a performance or sharing a meal.

What is Roleplay?
Roleplay is cooperative story telling with fictional characters, in our case online in the Final Fantasy 14 MMORPG. Everything on this site and played in game is make believe.
Is there an Age requirement to participate?
Yes; 18+ both in and out of character due to the nature of our theme and roleplay. If you are or the character you play are under 18, we ask that you do not interact with the FC. Those who flaunt this rule will be asked to leave or be blacklisted.
Is this an ERP FC?
While we are not ERP averse, it is not our focus. Ask a courtesan player if they partake in ERP first before expecting them to provide such roleplay.
What are the Gilded Fan's RP services?
The Gilded Fan is a courtesan parlor; Guests come and hire a courtesan to keep them company in a booth while they are entertained by performers. Guests can order food and drink for themselves and their courtesans, as well as buy flowers and trinkets that they can gift to their host.
What is the one-meet rule?
Because our focus is building connections and creating interesting storylines, guests must meet and hire a courtesan at least once in the parlor before they can begin booking private meetings.
Do you perform or host performances?
While we do not host large concert-style performances, the small stages set for the host booths provide space for performers of all kinds; Dancing, singing, playing an instrument, and poetry!
Is there a real gil expectation?
Everything from food, drink, and gifts are not actually expected to be paid for in actual gil, but we accept it in order to provide more. We DO require gil for renting the ballroom and hiring staff for events. Courtesan hourly and private meet gil expectations depend on the player; please ask them first.
